ISLAMABAD: Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan on Monday said that the constitutional package was in the pipeline and the 17th Constitutional Amendment would soon be repealed.
The minister affirmed that his party (PPP) believed in democracy with a mission to restore the 1973 Constitution in its letter and spirit.
He urged the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to demonstrate flexibility over the repeal of the 17th Constitutional Amendment and changing NWFP’s name to Pakhtunkhwa.
‘PML-N must show flexibility and agree on the issue if it really believes in restoring complete democracy,’ Babar Awan said.—APP LINK
