ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party has nominated Syed Mehdi Shah for Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Secretary Information of the PPP Fauzia Wahab held a news conference in Islamabad along with Syed Mehdi Shah.
She said Mehdi Shah has served the PPP well for 35 years and co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has nominated him to be leader of the House in the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly.
Syed Mehdi Shah said the PPP has the required majority to form government on it's own, and the party is not considering the option of a coalition government.
