PPP confident of winning GB election

ISLAMABAD, Nov 11 (APP): Pakistan Peoples Party Gilgit Baltistan President and member of PPP central executive council Syed Mehdi Shah has said that his party is contesting election on 23 out of 24 seats for Gilgit Baltistan assembly and certain to emerge victorious.
Speaking in Radio Pakistan, he said that the credit for election in Gilgit-Baltistan goes to Pakistan Peoples Party.

He said that because of the election those parties who never raised their voice for the rights of the people of the area were now acquainted with the area and are actively taking part in the election.
Besides PPP, Mehdi Shah said, several other parties like PML-N, JUI-F, ANP and MQM are participating in the election.
He hoped that people would overwhelmingly elect the PPP candidates, as it is PPP which gave identity to the people of Gilgit Baltistan.
He said that Prime Minister Gilani especially came to the area Tuesday and addressed a gathering in Skardu 1 wherein he fulfilled all the demands of the people.
PPP leader said that because of elections all political parties will raise their voice for the rights of the people of Gilgit Baltistan, which will have positive impact on the area. .....Link......
